Hello and welcome to Room To GrowGarden Consulting! The very first blog post!! I can’t tell you how excited I am to share stories through the “Secret Life of Plants!” I borrowed this name from the 1979 Steve Wonder album “Journey Through The Secret Life of Plants.” Though Stevie has never seen plants due to his blindness, he used his imagination to musically guide us through the growth, development, and power of plants. This blog will attempt to take you through a similar journey but through the lens of my garden experiences. This will be the spot to come to for tips, lessons learned, and insights from my home garden, Shangri-La.
I want to start things off with a few snippets of the things you can expect from the blog. Have you ever considered how the process of transitioning young seedlings grown indoors to outdoors (known as “hardening”) is similar to preparing kids for “real life?” Also, do you recall the quote, “You are what you eat?” The same is true for the environment in which your plants grow in! Yep, available nutrients can determine how tasty your vegetables will be. Additionally, if you are a person of Faith, the miracles of plant growth and development are endless!! AND there are numerous references to agriculture in Bible!
I hope by now you are as “geeked” as I am about the Secret Life of Plants!
